Half Day Preschool Program

Our half-day preschool program is part of our nine-month school program, available with 3 day through 5 day options. The program begins at 8:30 AM and closes at 11:30 AM. All the children are served a morning snack daily. We offer age appropriate classes in Spanish, fitness, and music to our preschool children. Each of these classes is taught by a specialist who joins the regular classroom teacher. These classes provide children with exposure to enrichment areas not normally offered to preschoolers, but which research has shown to be extremely beneficial to overall brain development at just this age. We also expose the children to classical music for short periods of time during the day, following the principles of the Mozart Effect.

Our preschool program is the only one in our area to be accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. It is a valued part of our academic program, which continues through eighth grade. The Country Day School preschool programs prepare children for our own primary school, public schools, and other private schools here and in other parts of the country and the world.
